Hi everyone!
One of the three parts of this coursework is creating a social media page for my artist, as their record label. Therefore, I will be analysing different social media pages for my artists, including that of Noah Kahan to understand the conventions needed for this.
Hope you enjoy this post!
xx Natalia
Instagram Social Media Pages:
I have looked at the social media pages of:
Noah Kahan
Passenger (a similar singer to Kahan)
Gracie Abrams
Ariana Grande (a pop singer for contrast)
Taylor Swift (another pop singer for contrast)
There are some clear conclusions as to the content of these pages:

Further Analysis:
All artists have a style which they express through a certain font/colour palette. This is usually linked to their newly released album and its own aesthetic.
Passenger and Taylor Swift are two very good examples of this: (note how Taylor Swift's colour palette changes when her album's aesthetic changes).

Ariana Grande is also very good at keeping a unified social media colour palette and content, focusing on cold colours with contrasting light and dark looks- her social media page has a distinct look that Noah Kahan's does not. From this, we can infer that Indie artists are much more "natural" in how they present themselves to their audience, to appear more authentic.

Artist Web Pages:
Noah Kahan's web page http://www.noahkahan.com/ is much more brand-heavy than his Instagram account.
His web page is focused on each album's aesthetic whilst maintaining the same font and black (neutral) colour of the banner throughout. His font, with a handwritten, messy style, is characteristic of his natural, candid and chaotic vibe.

The style of his albums matches his cartoon-like and candid style of portraying his image through his music rather than appearance, which is similar to Passenger's style, indicating that they appeal to a similar audience.
Similarly, Gracie Abrams' aesthetic relies on the brown colour of the background and her calligraphy-like font to create her style and then includes images of her newly-released singles (which also match her aesthetic).

She includes faded, vintage-style images and brown-and-yellow tones, which match an aesthetic that is popular amongst teenagers and hence will appeal to her audience.
