Target Audience Questionnaire

I wanted to make a Target Audience Questionnaire to receive some feedback and ideas to take into account from my target audience. It is crucial to know what the target audience expects from a product when making the product to fulfil their expectations.

I wanted my Google Form to attract my audience and not seem "boring", as I know Google Forms tend to be.

Furthermore, as this was going to be a questionnaire for my audience from my record label to produce the product, I wanted to personalise the Google Forms theme to make it my own. The colour palette (pink, blue and yellow) is included in the clipart drawings, as well as my name and the original logo.

Section 1- Personal Details

Here, I have included some standard questions to identify who my target audience is, and other artists that who like Noah Kahan as well, to see if there is a pattern.

After looking at the other sections, especially identifying who the song appeals to, I can go back to these personal details to see if there is a pattern in my target audience.

Section 2- Music Video Questions:

I have decided to make a narrative music video and filming in the protagonists' bedroom, but I was debating between using an instrument and including night-time footage.

These results will hopefully reinforce my decisions of narrative music video and filming in a bedroom, partly to appeal to my target audience. These results will also help me decide on whether to include an instrument and how much night-time footage to include.

Section 3- Specific Song Questions:

This last section will help me identify my target audience, who likes the song. I have also included sections for suggestions specifically for my music video and other music-video inspiration and recommendations.

Furthermore, this section will help me understand what traits are popular and what traits make people stop watching a music video, which I think will be very useful.

Next Steps:

So far, I have received 23 results, which is very positive. In about a week, I will analyse the results and make another post about them. I am confident that this google form will help me with my research and find my target audience.
